Objectives:<\/p>

  • To enhance communication and collaboration between parents and children through shared activities such as snow-skin mooncake making and group games.<\/li>
  • To help children understand and inherit Chinese culture through traditional Mid-Autumn customs, such as lantern making and lantern riddles.<\/li>
  • To encourage children to express their imagination and creativity through lantern crafting.<\/li>
  • To foster a joyful festive atmosphere and promote family harmony by sharing traditional Mid-Autumn delicacies.<\/li>
  • To cultivate children's love for music and dance while enhancing their physical coordination and confidence through a lantern dance session during music class.<\/li>
  • To offer participants a meaningful and delightful Mid-Autumn Festival experience that blends cultural inheritance, parent-child interaction, and entertainment.<\/li><\/ul>

    Activity Description:<\/p>

    • On the day of the event, parents are invited to bring a Mid-Autumn festive food item to share and sample during the carnival. This enables children to learn about traditional foods while offering all participants a deeper immersion in Mid-Autumn culture as they celebrate the festival together.<\/li>
    • During the Parent-Child Lantern Carnival, activities such as group games and snow-skin mooncake making allow participants to experience the lively festive spirit, promote parent-child interaction and cultural inheritance, and create unforgettable Mid-Autumn memories for families.<\/li>
    • Students across all levels experience traditional Mid-Autumn culture by crafting their own paper lanterns, enjoying the fun of hands-on creation while adding unique meaning and cherished memories to the festival.<\/li>
    • Through a specially set up light-and-shadow exploration area, children can discover the subtle shifts of light and shadow through play, seamlessly blending learning with entertainment.<\/li>
    • After listening to storytelling sessions on Mid-Autumn origins by teachers, children dress up as the Jade Rabbit and Chang'e to distribute small gifts at the school entrance.
