Activity Details: Parent-Child Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival

Target Audience: Students from K1, K2, and K3 (Nursery, Lower, and Upper classes) and their parents

Objectives:
1. To introduce traditional customs and festive foods associated with the Mid-Autumn Festival.
2. To deepen children's understanding of Mid-Autumn legends through the distribution of small gifts by characters representing the Jade Rabbit and Chang'e.
3. To guide children in creating paper lanterns and snow-skin mooncakes, fostering an appreciation and learning of Chinese folk art techniques and creativity.
4. To highlight the theme of family reunion ("full moon, full family") and allow children to experience a warm, joyous festive atmosphere with their families.

Activity Description:
1. Parents are invited to join the school event. Through group games, parent-child snow-skin mooncake making, and mooncake tasting, children and parents can learn about traditional festive foods and experience the warm, joyful atmosphere of family reunion.
2. Students from all levels handcraft their own lanterns, gaining hands-on experience with traditional Chinese crafts and Mid-Autumn customs.
3. Following a storytelling session by teachers on the origins of the festival, students dress up as the Jade Rabbit and Chang'e to hand out small gifts at the school entrance, enhancing the festive spirit while deepening their appreciation of traditional Chinese mythology.
